Just an observation, I have recently started cycling and have found that when coming into contact with people on similar types of bike you can normally get a reciprocal good morning or such like but get totally blanked by tour de france wannabes. Ain't folks bloody strange.

Well, you've got a couple of clubs around Lincoln with some members who think they are better than anybody else on a bike! Geoff.
I've been cycling for over 30 years around here, and I try to be friendly to other all cyclists, whatever they're riding. Usually I find it's some of the mountain bikers who don't return a greeting - probably 'cos I'm on a road bike in club kit and not covered in mud! I just keep on saying hello to 'em - no skin off my nose if they don't want to reply.
Stick with it Geoff - as long as you're happy with what you're doing. It's their loss if they don't want to be sociable.

I try not to be friendly to any cyclist wearing lycra. Ever.
It's for the best, really.

I agree. Expecially even since the best of them can hardly stay upright for long. Last thing they need is any form of distraction.irev wrote:I try not to be friendly to any cyclist wearing lycra. Ever.
