Pikey, kayz1 yes I've taken the right hand exhaust subframe off the bike to check the bearing and all was well. Nice a smooth with no play detectable. There just might be a tiny bit of play in the drive shaft bearing, the one that carries the shaft into the gearbox. It's my betting it's that one. No oil leaks yet but I'll keep riding and see how it develops. I don't want to mash up the gears so won't let it go too far before stripping. Just enough to find the bugger that's causing it.

Thanks spaceprobe...much appreciated. And thanks to all of you for your best wishes which have all been duly passed on to Mrs Data. She's a bit out of it at the mo but will appreciate it more when she's better!

Funky, sorry to be ducking out on this run. I'll come on the other way round backward run if all is well. I've spent most of my life going backwards, so one more time won't hurt!!...

Bye for now and thanks you lot once again.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Should dry off this afternoon with better weather tomorrow, but still the chance of showers later in the afternoon.

I might watch the scoot and she has not been washed for several weeks... still need to pop off the rear wheel, get rid of the copper shite likely on there and replace with moly grease.

Just sent you a test text.

I plan to catch you all up somewhere along the route, but not sure where yet as it depends on getting away from the family stuff I have to do first.

Where and when is the lunch stop? I can't work it out from the route link.

Ok, so text contact established. I aim to hook with you all at 1pm or so at McD's on the A505 east of Duxford.

Will take some photos for Poldark!
