Well 'Swipe, I've had a look at the one Meldrew has seen and it looks nice mate. I think it's fate as a black 'wing passed me on the way to work today!
Also as I was getting on the Maj last night a bloke stopped me and nattered about his Maj, it was an older version but he was full of praise for it. Him and his mates seemed to have a lot of experience regarding scooters and I mentioned the 'Wing I'd seen, his mate has one and, again, he couldn't fault it. I'm off for a look in my lunch hour as it's only 10 mins away. If I like it I am in danger of buying a new one though! Or would I be a bit daft, I reckon the one I've seen has a few hundred quids worth of useful accessories, touring screen, heated grips, top box and leg deflectors, all good additions. What do the Muppets think?

Re: Silverwing 600
I called the dealer. It is still available but, and it could be a big but, it has only had its first service at 500 miles. Nothing since then. As it is 4 years old and done 5500 miles should I walk away?

Just get all the fluids and filters changed, a full and thorough service and it'll be fine.

No problem in itself, but it may indicate that the previous owner wasn't the fussy caring sort.smeghead wrote:I called the dealer. Re: Silverwing 600
Well chaps. I like the Silverwing, It fitted nicely. Felt manageable like a 400 in physical dimensions. But the dealer forgot to mention it had damage on its o/s fairing and top box. I guess its been over at some point as it looked worse than just falling over would cause! I'll keep looking. I reckon I'll have a ring around to see what's available on a new one. I've looked on Autotrader and they are rarer than an honest politician so new could be the way forward.

Re: Silverwing 600
It has full dealer history and two owner, the first being the supplying dealer. If it needs service it will have one, and tyres and MOT just waiting to see what they offer for mine now.
