Out for my first proper ride out of the year.

Post by Steve_D »

Looks like a nice sunny spring day coming up so I'm going out for my first proper ride out of the year - on my FJR. Will probably end up at the Fox inn in Fynchingfield, for one of their fooking huge sausage sandwiches and a cuppa. See you all there. :D

If only I wasn't in the middle of stripping the front end I could have met you there.

Didn't get to Finchingfield in the end. We went for a ride around and ended up in Leigh and looked in Alpha motorcycles. Was very impressed with a white T Max they had for sale. Brand new but pre-registered to them on a 64 plate. £7599. They only offered me £6K for my FJR though. They're 'aving a larf! Did like it a lot though. Much slimmer than my old 650 Burger as well as the new 400 Burger. Could see me on one of those - slim enough for my commute, room under the seat for my helmet and could be used with a top box and tail bag for my once a year European trip. Hmmm. Just the one bike needed. Anyway, went on to Hullbridge for lunch then visited a mate in Billericay then home. A nice day.

I'm glad you had a good ride out. A mate and myself had a run out to Towyn on the Welsh Coast. We had an excellent ride and on the return journey we were joined by a group of vintage scooter folks. They rode with us until we the M54. Nice people indeed.
I rather be out riding.
