A customer service RANT
This isn't a ride out vid but theres no section for pointless rants lol ...

Re: A customer service RANT
Personally I would have ridden scooter to dealer .I've ridden with a crunchy bearing and with play in bearings to get me home .

Brilliant vlog
Shame about the wheel bearings. My X10 ones are still ok at 3,500 miles, I had a SYM one fail after 10,000km and I just took the wheel off and left it with them to fit. Sounds like you have dealer issues - not Piaggio ones, all these bearings are standard sizes and should not be an issue to source.
I guess yours didn't have any grease in them to fail that fast
.
Japan is suffering with a strong currency and the major fallout from the Fukushima draining their economy so their stuff in my view is expensive and not as good as it once was. Kwak is Kymco anyway, Honda has the Forza 125 but I wouldn't buy anything else - Yamaha are not bad with the Xmax, Suzuki seems to avoid the sweet spot of 250-300cc.
The main contenders if you avoid Piaggio are Taiwan (SYM, Kymco) and Daelim (Korea). Daelim is cheapest I think, both Daelim and SYM are MotoGB brands so backup is patchy, Kymco has a dedicated importer so service is 1st class but you'll have to decide if the scooters are as good as SYM (if you can find one to look at).
If you can find one I'd look at a SYM Joymax 300, else its the Kymco Xciting - can't think of anything else of interest TBH.

Who is your dealer, they sound like a bucket of shit.
My Piaggio dealership were great, I always got a loan bike even when I phoned them the same day, they offered me a brand new demo bike for a weekend once too!
They even picked it up from my home address once while I was at work and dropped off the loan bike for me (ok it was about £20 quid for that service but it wasn't a warranty claim).

Can't say I've had a problem with a Piaggio dealer, my X9 immobilizer went wrong at home, they picked it up even though I had worked on it, but I could not fix it, which would have invalidated the warranty if they wanted to be picky.
