+1, 2 and 3horobags wrote:well done Alan, we all owe you a beer or three for organising this. I recon the next step is to arrange a meet where everyone can pay their deposit and secure their place. If we get it sorted by the end of sept so everyone has a few weeks to get the deposit together, and we can find a meeting place ,maybe truckstop as its our usual haunt for a sunday brekky. Im getting all exited!!

Re: 19/06/16 Normandy
Getting there we have a choice Brittany Ferries Portsmouth to Caen with a 30 minutes ride to the B.B
Check out the sailing times
https://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/ferr ... -303?st=f2
or
Traveloge https://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/4/Ashford-hotel
Euro tunnel https://www.eurotunnel.com/book/FareFinder/(0)
with a 3 hour 30 minutes ride
There is not a lot of difference in the price in either
You can choose which one suits you and we could meet up at the .B.B
I choose Ashford travelogue on the 18/06/16 and the tunnel on the 19/06/16 , returning by the tunnel on the 22/06/16,
I know its a long way home but got all day to do it
