I see some amazing figures there. Barry, how many miles have you got on the clock now? Road runner, like you I was getting mid to upper 70's when running in...apart from to start with when it was about 71-72mpg. Must have been really tight in the engine department. I actually thought my fuel economy would get worse as I rode it harder. But the reverse has been true. I have 1300 miles on it now and it regularly does 78-79mpg on mixed riding of all sorts at all sorts of speeds and throttle settings. And I repeat, I don't ride with economy in mind. How do these bikes do it??

Right...been out all morning today on the B400. What brilliant weather for a spin especially as I only work afternoons at the moment. I covered 69 miles on the A12 and various other 'A' roads and achieved 18.4 miles per litre, or in English money...83.54mpg! I was travelling for 18 miles on the A12 at various speeds between 55-70mph, overtaking slower moving traffic etc, but mostly the bulk of the miles were on 'A' & 'B' roads at 55-60mph. Almost no stops needed for roundabouts or junctions etc. The bike just purrs along and is getting more and more responsive with a nice crisp power delivery. I opened her up on a private bit of the A12 the other day and she easily achieved 85mph without any effort at all. :o That's as fast as she has been for the moment but it felt good. Today I noticed she is really quick going from 50mph in the left lane of the A12 behind slow traffic, to 70mph as when you need to pull out and gain speed quickly to avoid death and join the faster flow in the right lane. No complaints there. Anyone know what the 0-60mph time is on one of these babies? Yeah...I know, it's not very important but just curious.

Last few fill ups I'm getting 65, 66 and 62 mpg. A great improvement on the tmax getting 40mpg.

You obviously need this Steve. Use half for the Tmax, half for the Burgman

Ok, this will be my last post on Burgman 400 mpg.
Having done a further 600 miles since running in period ended, taking in various types of road with both solo and two up riding I have averaged 68 mpg. This included a fair bit of 'spirited' riding, as like most of us I enjoy riding my machines.
What more can I say - well pleased!

Pretty darn good RR! Especially as you've been two up for some of it. Well done.
