AN400 Newbie - Morning all :-)

Post by adam_button »

Howdy all,

My name is Adam and I'm from Hereford, UK.

At 40 yerars old I thought it was time I have a bit of a mid-life crisis and get myself another bike (ahem), I have, over the years had 4 crotch rockets (RGV250, GSXR750, ZX6R and CBR900RR), three of which took up home in a box in a scrapyard - the last one hurt the most, ending in 8 weeks traction and 6 months physio - apprently he "didn't see me".

Anyway, off topic and digressing into bitterness - After 19 yeazrs of being a car driver only, I have bought myself a Burgervan for the first time, as the "Wife" didn't like the idea of the Hayabusa much....

Burnice, as she is now known, is a 2011, 61 plate AN400 L1 with jsut 5k on the clock and belonged to a lovely bloke called Dave in Cirencester, who at 80, yes 80, has changed to a lighter bike  .

Took it out for it's first trott last week, and loved it! shes a big old girl, much like aforementioned "Wife", with a lot of rear, but rides nice n smooth - can't comment about the "Wife" as we've been married for a few long years now :o

Took me a while to get used to being so upright, but I like it, you don't so much ride as bimble - a whole new and not unpleasant experience - i can actrually see things other than flies!

Dave kept her in tip top shape, never ridden in the wet, not a scratch - I think he took it to bed and tucked it up it's that clean!

Anyway, was jsut to say Hello and glad I bought Burnice :-)

TTFN

Adam

Welcome. You have done well. You will know when you've completely won at life, however, when you sell it and progress to a Helix ;)
