Washed it yesterday, rode it for 3 hours around my area today.

All this half decent weather is too good to waste!

Only usually use one bike through winter when the salt is down, but this year no salt so far, so all bikes need a wash down, it is the best time to ride a bike/scoot, great views through bends with no leaves to spoil it.

Please tell me more about the Yam ACF, what's Yamaha's name for it?

Cheers

Started it!

The weather was so wet over the weekend that the Silverwing just wouldn't start on Monday evening.
The battery's a bit tired - I shall get a new one in the new year.

However, earlier in the year I bought a posh (expensive) jump-start thing like the ones the AA use except it's less heavy-duty. I used it on the car a few months ago, my not having driven it for about four months, and it certainly did the business.

I hooked it up to the Silverwing and, after a great deal of cranking, achieved success.

The power-pack was back up to full strength after less than an hour on its charger.

Rode "MrT" back down the M3 in lashing rain and gale force winds from my grandaughters in London. He didn' t miss a beat and purred like a pussycat when I finally got back to Poole to drop off my daughter for her nightshift tonight. Great reliability and 63mpg. I think I'm beginning to bond with this scooter..
