Head says Scooter, heart says motorbike. Which will win

I would have thought an auto would be best for regular, heavy traffic. But I've not ridden a geared motorbike, only geared scooters.
Other, more experienced commuters will be along to advise you!

Get yourself a T-Max Ryan. Convenience of t&g scooter with performance, handling and brakes to match many a motorbike. Automatic transmission is the way to go in any busy city, on two wheels or four. Changing gear using a clutch is so out-dated.

Or an Integra, it is a motorbike chassis, engine and wheels with scooter weather protection.

Good performance proper gears but dct so no fannying with a clutch (or gears if you don't want to play, leave it in auto), 8000 mile service intervals and good fuel economy.

Can you tell I like mine?......

Been watching some YouTube videos on them, but do seem like the ideal bike. They are a bit pig ugly but once your on top and riding the hell out of it you don't notice it Just wondering how long one would last parked out in the road

If its any help I've gone Vespa 125, GX500e, SV650S (1st gen), Honda VFR800 Vtech which I've just sold and bought a brand new TMax 2015 Model which was going for a steal and love it. I commute twice a week to Reading from Bristol and Swindon the rest of the time. Wanted twist and go convenience for city traffic having used a Vespa, but something to stay dry on the motorway with and have fun at the weekend with. Can't justify 2 bikes so TMax it was. I appreciate they're not the most economical in terms of fuel or servicing costs when compared to the competition but it handles really nicely. I found the geared bikes weren't getting the use mainly because geared in bikes are horrendous in stop start traffic. That's my experience. I have a full geared licence but till I get a garage to keep my future Ducati in its the TMax till then.

Do you mean would it fall to bits or get nicked?

It's less desirable to theives than a Tmax but any bike left parked in the road needs some serious security - a 16/19mm chain and chained through and to something solid, not just a disc lock. Should also be covered (not a new expensive one, something cheap and tatty).

The build quality is good so it will be fine parked outside. Mine lives out on the road under a cheap cover and has been very reliable. It is a Honda after all....

LOL I meant theft

Only issue I have is not having that solid item to lock to. Almax chains through both wheels, a cover and a tracker would be the best I could do. Plus a bloody good insurance policy
