Hi muppets - newbie with questions!

Post by Greggster »

Hi you lot, I'm new

I've been riding bikes for 25 years, and for the last year I've just had my Vespa GTS300 which I love.

But the wife is nagging me to get her on the back again, and the GTS doesn't cut it.

So I'm thinking a maxi would do it, but not sure which one and haven't had time to go looking in the flesh yet.

I'd like the J300 nearly new or a Tmax 500 which would be about 7 years old. I'd prefer a nearly new J300 for obvious reasons.

Anyone had experience with pillions on the J300? Or any other ideas for about £3.5k of something nearly new?

Cheers!

hi lad, only had a j300 for a short time from inception of the model in 2014, for personal reasons had to sell her, did 1500 miles and 50 50 was two up, handled very well, im 17 stone and missus more 8 stone
so i had no complaints ;)
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

welcome, when riding pillion a lot , the bigger the better, the j 300 will be similar in performance to the GTS but a little comfier. The t-max is more powerfull, maybe a Piaggio x10??, or look at the SYM range.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

Thanks all, I'll take another look at the X10, if I squint a bit I may like the rear end [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Ok I've had a look at the X10 and the pillion foot rests look pants, and lots of moaning about them on the Piaggio forum. So I'm back to the J300...
