Something you'd never think of is a Daelim S3 Advance 250 (AKA SV250) - £3,299 new with matching top box

Can be had from some dealers for £2,999 new

Got one myself - It should easily carry you and your wife at motorway speeds

Thanks for that, looks good, although I'm chicken and like like to stay with mainstream brands :)

Personally, I'd rather have a lesser-known brand from South Korea, than a better known brand from Thailand - i.e. Daelim vs Honda

In defense of Daelim, they have a 2 year warranty, and I've had a free warranty repair done on a second hand bike I bought privately 180 miles away from the authorized dealer where I had it repaired - the authorized dealer didn't ask for anything other than the frame number and few images of the faulty part (leaking fork seal)

In a strange twist I've bought a 2009 Tmax - should be delivered next week :)

Couldn't get ride on anything with a pillion, so bought what I think will be best. We shall see!

Thanks for your help

Do not buy an X10, too many problems. Go for a Burgman 400's are great 650's better.
