I too have flown Hercules Airways courtesy of her majesty's fly boys - only Lyneham to Gutersloh. Toilets were indeed "basic"

In flight meals were "Take one and pass it on" whilst seating with your legs interlocked with the bloke opposite you :)

Our aircrew meals in the Navy were called bag meals - curled up sarnie, dead apple, crushed crisps. The bag tasted better than the crap the cooks packed in 'em! Even the seagulls turned their beak up at 'em.
That's probably why there was never any chefs names on the list for 'jolly' flights!!

Only had converted Comets when i was forced to go skyward with the army...none of this modern stuff you lot went in :lol: :lol:
