Kieran, I'd stick with genuine Suzuki parts and therefore I use main Suzuki dealerships. Prices are not too bad for normal service items. I learned this from experience of servicing, riding and owning both (the 650 was company owned). There are after market oil and air filters but these don't guarantee the right air and oil flow. And for what you save it's not really worth it in my honest opinion. But of course it's up to you. Around 8 years ago we (me and the team) tested a range of filters at the engine design & development company where I worked and found some cheaper oil filters actually reduced oil pressure by around 20%. Some air filters starved the engine of air at full throttle and could cause damage to your engine if used. This adds up to a lot more fuel being used too. I'd point out none of these tests were Suzuki Burgman specific but it was a general pattern we found with some cheap chinese filters.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

That's very interesting Data. The hidden costs and consequences could be very high. I must admit its an aspect of using non genuine parts I hadn't considered.

And don't forget Suzuki for a "bike of the month" so when its a model you own consumables are worth buying in bulk if you intend keeping long-term
