Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Well not the scoot, but my CBF. Took the covers off to check the front sprocket, pushing the wheel right forward to ease the weight of the chain so I could check the sprocket and countershaft bearings. All seems ok. The dealer who serviced the bike before the last owner bought it had fitted a new chain but had left the old worn out front sprocket on it. I 'm beginning to think good honest dealers are like hens teeth. Cleaned most of the gunk from inside the cover and put back together and went for a ride.
I'll have to get another pair of sprockets to replace. A job for next time, along with camchain/tensioner check and valve shim check.

Logbook came today, so online and transferred my private plate on to it, then phoned insurance to change policy details, then fitted my new Plate, went for a quick hour long ride and back and cleaned it.

Went out on her and bought, Muck Off Degreaser and a Spray bottle.
Stripped the belly pan gaining full access to the radiator which has been covered in crud for a while to the point where once what was silver was now black, the fan was coming on quickly even on cool days when sitting for about 20 seconds waiting for lights or stuck in traffic where I couldn't be arsed to filter.
Rinsed the radiator with hot water via my 8l Hozelock Killaspray that I use to wash the scoot and the wifes car. Let it drain then sprayed with the Degreaser, left it a bit, then agitated using up/down strokes on the fins with a paint brush and around the radiators chunkier parts...
Then I rinsed... I then wished I had taken a before and after photo... my radiator is now almost back to looking brand new!
And the wheels which I could never quite get clean (Plastidipped) got a Muck Off Spray bottle treatment and now look almost freshly painted.
I had tried Muck Off along time ago and found it lacking... it does say new improved formula on the bottle, I would say ts much improved to how it was about 8 years ago.
