Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Fork springs arrived yesterday so I stripped down the front end fitted new springs and oil ,cleaned and serviced the front brakes greased it all up reassembled . 4 hours total time would have been a lot less if I had not had to strip out the bars yoke etc to remove the forks ,but gave me the excuses to check and degrease all the head bearings . Test ride confirmed it was the right thing to fit the hypero progressive kit .This has resulted in far less dive under heavy braking and with a big increase in control ,no bottoming at all . This is certainly the most economic route at 25% of the cost of fitting adreina fork cartridges . The big plus is how it takes those bad road surfaces . Shock next which type yet we are not quite sure as waiting for replies to my emails regarding options ,but looks like the shock factory is option we will go ATM .

Gave the GTS a wash and wax followed by a squirt of ACF50 into the locks and switches.

Put my new mirror on and changed a blown tail light bulb.

Finally got to 600 mile first service time. Had hoped to get the first 600 miles done a lot quicker but life got in the way. Servicing it tomorrow and then I can finally unleash all its power

1st service on the 650 Burg done and Givi rack fitted. Tried the fit of the pannier frame but waiting on working out how I will be filling the big gap where the backrest was and the Givi lump now sits.

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
The battery on the srv seams to be dropping some power if left sitting for a few days ,so I checked it all out and can only see the battery as dropping power . So ordered a new lithium battery ,it weighs over 3 kilos less than the original and has 25% more cranking amps ,should be here in the morning so stripped out ready . It was only a quid more than the oe battery gotta be worth a go .
