Got held up coming into work by someone on a street fightered GSX RRRRRRR. Joined my route one side road up from my place and was there all the way to work. Eventually overtook him at the entrance when I chose to filter and he stayed with the cars. Eventually caught me up by the clock in machine (back is playing up so I am not moving that fast) looking all sheepish in full body armour, knee sliders etc while there's me in a de armoured fabric jacket, overalls and riding a scooter with a open face lid. As I hobbled past on the way to the Burg I clocked the chicken strips on his sticky BT017's, caught his eye and said "do not get out much then?", to which he replied "no".
Most satisfying

Yesterday, went for a spin to Crewe to drop of some bits for re-chroming, then on to Oldham to collect a seat, then into Holmfirth for a cuppa & slice of cake at 'Sid's Cafe', then homeward via Chester, nice little jaunt with not a drop of rain, not even in Manchester

Have wheels, will travel

I looked at the sets of brake pads in the kitchen for the umpteenth time and thought "I really must get around to putting them in"!

Those look nice gromet.gromet wrote:Made and fitted some strap tie downs to the rear Givi rack to hold down my camping gear on weekend trips......![]()
My scoots are woefully lacking in decent tie down points. It does seem to be a bit of a trend these days.

Gave "MrT" a run into the country to take a friend to look at (what turned out to be) a lovely old carburetted Fazer 600S, the one with the mods. (2002). Needless to say he bought it, lucky chap.

I made some tie downs for Steve today, not as sexy as those as my only good file died on the 3mm stainless...mind in an earlier life it had been part of a toxic chemical container
i was going to give it a bit of a rounded look but then the file died so it went all square on the mill

After a weeks commuting, I think mine deserves a good wash.

Yesterday, took the Burg for a blat going the very long way home to see what it felt like now I have run it in. Most satisfying. Did think about washing it today but dismissed that thought, it got washed 4 weeks ago so streaky on!
