Is it still true Funky that you do not have to tell the DV LA cos it is only a temporary/not permanent sort of thing?? ie; the original colour still exists.

You now MUST fill in the appropriate section on your V5 and send it off to notify them.kayz1 wrote:Is it still true Funky that you do not have to tell the DV LA cos it is only a temporary/not permanent sort of thing?? ie; the original colour still exists.

As its still yellow on the rear I can get away with it to a degree however I will be sending my completed V5 off before the weekend , the yellow will hopefully have gone in the next couple of weeks if not over the weekend.
I am quite proud of the wheels... must take a photo... the centers are matt black but with gloss red outer.

So that means the Sky tv vans have to do this every 3 months when they change the pictures on the fleet!

Fitted new front brake pads today ,I am trying the ceramic type pads . Went for a ride to bed them in a bit & initial thoughts are very encouraging nice progressive feel without the harsh bite of the Hh rated pads I normally use . Did my usual emergency stop practice once I'd put. Some miles on the pads and work great .

Maybe not, it might be different with commercial vans... there could be a stipulation that it must state the company name like 'SkyTV' on it or that they can prove is truely is temporary because it changes every three months vs teh average Joe who will get a wrap and stick with it for a couple of years which is more permanent.kayz1 wrote:So that means the Sky tv vans have to do this every 3 months when they change the pictures on the fleet!

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
next step
Most of the base black is done except the tank cover, the little triangle on the handle bars and the side panels... and still need to fill in red and white in areas. Overall the combo of matt and gloss is looking good
If I have enough gloss red left over I might try wrapping the grab bars... but if that fails or I don't have enough I'll look at getting them powder coated the same red.
