Take the panels off and shine the frame and enginey bits, it comes up a treat2wheelover51 wrote:Well I was washing the CBF so I gave the TMax the once over to. That's the only complaint I have of the TMax - there aren't enough shiny bits to polish!
The only time I ever put anything like that in my tyres was on my FJ1200. I made the mistake of putting something called "Slime" in to fix a slow puncture. It made the bike unrideable. Maybe if I'd followed Meldrews example and ridden it for a few miles after fitting things might have been a bit different..We'll never know...

Fitted a new rear tyre to the Silverwing this afternoon. Fitted a Bridgestone Hoop. I got 12,500 miles out of the Michelin City Grip and it actually wore out without squaring off.
I suspect I'll get less out of the Bridgestone but we'll see.

Had the front mudguard off the Burgman and put a fenda extenda on,supposed to keep a lot more debris away from the radiator, reasonable easy job even for a cackhanded git like me.Cleaned the inside of the mudguard, the plastic extenda comes with sticky pads to hold in place tempory, then its secured with 4 plastic rivots, once the holes have been drilled.
Took the screen off as well, its in doors at the moment, once up to room tempreture i have got new 3m pads to refit the laminar lip i removed from the old Burgman, wanted to fit the Givi after market screen, but far to tall for me at 5"7" and i hav'nt got the courage to cut it down,i liked the idea of the extra cover for the hands the Givi windshield has.

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Measured all the exhausts pipes and made a dummy set using some plastic pipe ready for fabrication to fit my new end can on the opposite side of the bike . Why ? I wanted to fit a pipe I like ascetically and to remove a lot of weight . I am fitting a can from a z1000 kwack it's very fitting in its angular shape .
