On Friday I took the Forza for a ride for the first time in maybe two months.

Not mine, but my daughters PCX125. Waxoyled engine cases, swingarm, fork legs, stands etc. Lubed lever pivots and painted exhaust and silencer with heat resistant paint.

Pah. Call that dirty? Must try arderZ750Jay wrote:Ah, cleaning after a ride. Never bother doing that as I ride the bike 5 days a week as a commuter and at the weekend I would rather ride than clean. Not into shiny bikes or resale value, more of a preferred means of transport for me. Heck, I think my custom bike got washed 3 times in 4 &1/2 years !
Did wander out to the bike at lunch to see how much mud got washed off in the rain. Not much but its heavier rain tomorrow so thats that sorted!
Here is the last Suzuki I owned 8 days after picking it up new

I sat on a V-strom, lovely comfortable bke but it gave me vertigo, for some reason I never like being too far away from the ground.
That was one thing I never liked about the X10, too far off the deck. I know people who love the height but I'm always more comfortable 'in' a low slung scooter or 'on' a small bike than perched on top of a tall one.
That gearbox and chain has to go however, have you ordered a CVT upgrade kit yet?

Gave it a bit more space. Moved on a Triumph Speedmaster, which now leaves my Vespa GTS300 and a 1952 BSA B31 in the garage (plus half of a Yamaha TY175-the other half being in the garden shed). Seem to have lost interest in big bikes and have more fun out of the scooter.

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Fitted a Morris minor boot stay to hold up the Honda Forza 300 seat, had to forego the rear helmet space but it fits 2 helmets and I never take a pillion so sorted. I looked at the springs that some folks have adapted (8 inch marine spring) but only seem to be available in USA and the postage is as dear as the part itself - nice to re-cycle things if we can.
