Made it lighter by removing most of the damaged panels

Yes you will need to clean and wash more than every couple of years or you'll stink the car out! I have a bath every month whether I need it or not.......Z750Jay wrote:Started looking at cars with a view to buying one so the big Burg can change from daily transport to toy. Unfortunately it means I might actually have to do that cleaning and washing thing more regularly than once every couple of years

Not scooter but sold the bike. It's surprising what the warmer weather does. Decided to readvertise the MT09 Tracer a few days ago and the first person who came to view today bought it. Had two others waiting in the wings in case the first guy decided against it. Just have to decide what to get next. I am still tempted by Honda's X-ADV but the price is hard to swallow. I will take a look at it when it arrives in showrooms and hopefully arrange a test ride.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery but today is a gift!

Not mr T, but fitted an indicator buzzer to my CBF600. Went out on Thursday and coming home left my indicators on for 2 junctions, causing a few shaking heads and beeps..
could have been worse!
This is now the third bike I've fitted the buzzer to. I bought it for my 650 Deauville, took it off when I part exed it and fitted it to my SV1000. It's come out of the cupboard to go on the CBF. Not bad value for +/- £15..

The TMAX speedo stopped working so I ordered the replacement sensor; not easy to find only the disc bit (whatever its called) on the front wheel. Yamaha seem to want to sell you the whole wire unit only, at £150. Hopefully its the right part seems to be used across a number of Yamaha bikes; not quite clear it fits a TMAX MK1 but at £20 worth a gamble..

Also found (coincidence?) that both headlight bulbs were out. Thought it must be a fuse, but no. Looked closely at both bulbs after checking the fuse and both seemed dark, so took a trip to Halfords. £14ea! Been a long time since I bought bulbs it seems. I could of chosen the cheaper Halfords brand twin economy pack bulbs, but I resented the packaging, as follows
The twin pack read something like "135% Brighter" (large print) "available on other bulbs" (small print) - can't quite remember the exact words (its my age). So you think you are buying 135% brighter bulbs, or at least I did at first, which you are clearly not. So left the queue and picked up a more expensive brand (that'll teach em).
