Re: New BMW 400 Scooter
I guess an interesting question that BMW aren't going to tell us is whether Kymco or maybe even a Chinese firm are supplying engines, or even building it??

I see where you're coming from!!!kishan wrote:looks like a deformed piaggio typhoon 2014 model, yukky
Re: New BMW 400 Scooter
But the typhoon won't cost a grand for a major service. Maybe (just maybe) BMW will climb off their expensive costs high horse. *but most likely like their cars just want folk to lease purchase*

I seem to remember the BMW 600/650 scoots had more than their fair share of teething problems, puts me off them a bit.

Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

Now you're just being polite horo. Those early teething problems destroyed any confidence I may have had. I'd still give it a look and a 'What if....' but wouldn't buy.horobags wrote:I seem to remember the BMW 600/650 scoots had more than their fair share of teething problems, puts me off them a bit.
I do like the sound of its belt drive however and its light off-road pretensions. Dunno why BMW persist with the squiffy winking lights design at the front.

Did I miss something? I'm not sure that I can see any off-road pretensions... essentially its just a bog standard Single banger, swing-arm mounted engine driving the wheel via a trad rubber band CVT, like all the other 400cc scoots.Capt. Re: New BMW 400 Scooter
Oh, did I read that wrong?! Perhaps I was looking at another new scooter Mr G, Doh. Let me check. Chripes, I forget more these days, repeat things too etc etc.
Had to retrace my history just now - I was reading about the 2018 XADV, does that make sense(?) - I wouldn't want to be accused of spreading internet untruths or labelled a keyboard-bloody-know-it-all!
