Hi all new to the forum. Just bought a 2011 xmax and I'm loving it. Have a question if anyone can help. I have the air box off while investigating a rattle and squeak which the bike has. Now I can't seem to re seat the air box. It goes on snug but I have a small gap at the rear top of the box that I can see the red of the filter peeping through and I can't get it closes properly. Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome. I cant comment specifically on the xmax as I've never worked on one but on many cars, you can often see the coloured part of the air filter and that is just a 'tell tale' that allows you to see that a new filter has been fitted without taking it all out. It's not that is it?
