Advanced rider course
Hi all As I've now got a Honda Silverwing which has a lot more poke than my honda foresight thought I would book an advanced rider course. I booked with Camrider in Peterborough and the instructer was a former police motorbike rider. It was an all day course and we headed to Skegness so covered about 140 miles in total. Very useful in knowing how to overtake safely and correct positioning on the road. Definately worth while and has given me a lot more confidence on the road. Cheers Paul

Re: Advanced rider course
I have done the local Bike Safe, recomend it...
Nothing wrong with a bit of training or revisiting what ya know... Bad habbits are easy to creap in...
Your now all set for a more enjoyable and safer summer...

Sounds like a good course, shame about Skeggy though.

That's an excellent idea Paul. Glad you got something from it. I use the much famed 'close one's eyes and open the throttle method'! Much maligned, as I have always found folks just move out of the way very quickly!!...
Seriously though, well done and thanks for raising the issue. I did the IAM and ROSPA courses some years ago. Really good. Can't have too much good training.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Did bikesafe about 6 years ago after 25 years riding then went on to IAM test and still a member of local club.
IMO you cannot get enough further training, made my ride much smoother...
