Hi everyone
I'm 63 and I'm commuting 27 miles each way on a scooter.
To Biggleswade from Saffron Walden - country lanes & a bit of A505/A1.
I've just finished 5 years using a Triumph Explorer 1200 and a Honda Deauville NT700 for 4 years before that.
I've had a Peugeot MP3, a Vespa ET4, so the Silverwing is a new thing.
I'm selling an SH300i that I've been using these last two weeks - it was a trade-in for the Explorer.
The "Tex" as the Explorer is often called, is a very top-heavy "Adventure Bike" and unsuitable for very slow riding or poor balancers.
I've dropped it four times now - all stationary.
This last drop was onto my right foot.
My boots reduced the damage to just two badly broken metatarsals.
A cracked rib is also a result of the "topple" so that was it for the TEX.
Its a great bike, with a wonderful engine.
Just too top-heavy for my poor sense of balance.
The SilverWing has much lower C-of-G and is softer sprung than the SH300i (did I mention its on eBay?) my cracked rib didn't like it!
Well thanks for reading this intro

How do you find the weight and seat height of the Silverwing compared to the SH300? Welcome to the forum BTW

Re: Silverwing rider says hi from Saffron Walden
I've just rode the SW home from where I bought it from (nr Colchester) so a good 50 miles along familiar roads and it was good.
There was some front wheel shake at 60-70mph, so might need a wheel balance.
Seat height is a bit lower than the SH with more legroom.
The weight isn't that much more but adds to the smoother ride.
The SH's rear spring/damper is a bit harsher on my broken rib and toes, the SW glides along...
