Hi all, just rode my new to me Burgman 400 home! Its a 2004 (K4?) model first registered on 2005, 18000 miles. Enjoyed the 30 mile ride home even though it was raining and blowing a gale.
The scooter will share garage space with other motorcycles, I bought the Burgman to satisfy my curiosity, I've heard many good things about these maxi-scooters, fancied something a bit different so I bought one. The other reason is that my partner wants to passenger again. Many years ago before kids, mortgages etc, we did some touring that we both enjoyed.
It's going on to the bike lift now so I can service it. There are two things that require attention, the gas strut that should hold the seat up doesn't, anyone got the specs for one of those. The other thing is the battery cover is missing, anyone got one for sale?

Re: New to scooters
Welcome John. The 400 Burgman seems a popular scooter. Enjoy.

Re: New to scooters
Thanks for the welcomes. Had a look at the SGS website, I've ordered what should be a suitable replacement strut, if I've done the sums correctly!
