In a nutshell route will be A120 to Rayne, B1256 to Dunmow, B184 to Ongar, then via Greenstead, Toot Hill and Theydon Bois.

I won't be making it now.

I gave the Cub a good run this weekend in the hope of pronouncing myself fit for what is, for me, a 200 mile round trip in a day, on a C90.

Physically, although I'd class myself as unfit, I'm sure I could do it.

Medically, I managed about 30 miles before discomfort called a halt.

My conclusion is that I'm on the mend and improving but I ain't ready for that ride yet.

Cap. that's ok going to post up meet at box hill maybe next month or april.

Great shame but no sense in pushing yourself too hard.

As Richie says a more southerly gathering when both you and the weather are fully fit would be grand.
