I am looking keenly at the weather to see if I shall come and find you - it is about 160 mile round trip so would like to see a few people at the other end to make it worthwhile coming along from Newbury.

Physically, although I'd class myself as unfit, I'm sure I could do it.

Medically, I managed about 30 miles before discomfort called a halt.

My conclusion is that I'm on the mend and improving but I ain't ready for that ride yet.

Great shame but no sense in pushing yourself too hard.

As Richie says a more southerly gathering when both you and the weather are fully fit would be grand.

And a meet-up at the ace café going to try this year.

I couldn't have put it any better. Typical time of year, too cold for thin layers, too hot for winters. Kind of a limbo weather. I'll probably kit off at break points but don't expect kinky underwear
