Hi Guys
I was about to sell my immaculate 2008 Burgman 400 when I got a flashing F1 (?) symbol. I took it to my local Suzuki dealership, they put on their diagnostic stuff and said it's a faulty throttle body. Great !! So the bike goes but if the throttle is opened for brisk acceleration it will actually slow down. If the throttle is opened gently, it accelerates up to 60 mph and no further. Opening the throttle to go past 60 slows the bike down. They have told me about £750 to fix. As the bike is probably only worth £12/1500 thisis not a route I want to take especially as I want to sell. Any ideas (apart from torching it !)
If you need more details or actually are prepared to make an offer my email is stevieb789@hotmail.co.uk and I'm based in Norwich.
Cheers Steve

Re: Throttle body problem
Steve, the fault maybe the T/body is blocked, and need a clean through, spraying ejector cleaner through it can cure this, or maybe at worst , find a second hand one off ebay or a breakers. This could ramp up the value if its running properly.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.
