Satnav mounts

Post by Sweep+1 »

Hi Guys,
I will be collecting my newly purchased 650 executive this week.
I want to mount my TomTom rider, any suggestions as to where & what type of mount to use.
I have seen them on the bars in front of the dash, but don’t want to screw the mount.
Cheers Paul.

You could consider a RAM ball mounted onto the cover of the brake fluid reservoir? It’s what I’ve done.

I made mine and had it on my brake reservoir top for 3 years,no issues with movement/leaks etc.

I have one of these on my 650 Exec. https://taiwanbigscootershop.com/produc ... aa0c&_ss=r
It puts the sat nav or phone or whatever just above the middle of the instrument panel. It fits very easily using existing screws in the trim and mine has done 55k miles with no problems. Yes, it's a bit pricey but it gets the sat nav right in your line of sight.

trying to get away from google so im actually buying a stand alone satnav. I hardly want to touch my phone. its going to be a process for me. will be getting the librem 5 soon. privacy is a concern for me

I never used a stand alone gps. do you need to update maps often? does it cost money to get any new maps?

my friend wants to sell me his garmin. ill have to do some research
