In the space of those few days I went from a bike owner to (back to) a scoot owner.
The bike I had was too heavy for my advancing years, sold it with the intention of buying a smaller bike.
A 2002 Piaggio X9 500 came up, in good condition (apart from the wheels) and at a good price..
The deal was done, picked it up from Worcestershire, had a nice, but wet and cold ride home, but compared to the bike it feels like a featherweight.
A few cosmetic issues, wheels being one, and a scratch on the front mudguard, but the remainder of the body work is fine.
Here's to a summer of rides, and fingers crossed no more lockdowns.
