Hello

Post by Dar Russell »

Hi, my second venture into the stretch moped world, that’s what my kids call the scoot.
First bought a Burgman 400 some 20 years ago, had it for 6 months before moving into the large cruiser world, now I’ve hit 60 and I havnt ridden for A couple of years, recently purchased a motorhome and decided another AN400 would be ideal to trailer behind the MH, so here I am the proud owner of a 21 plate AN400 Burgman.
I’m Darren, the wife’s Pat and we are from the Cotswolds, be gentle with us!!

Welcome,
The Burgman 400 is a sound choice, enjoy the scoot. If your putting it on a trailer close to the Motorhome, it is probably better to have a proper key switch. Some scoots are keyless so the battery may run down on a keyless ignition if its bouncing around behind your vehicle.

Hi Sagalout, we have a 95 Fiat Ducato with a German built LMC Liberty body. Left hand drive which is ideal as we are passionate about visiting the The a western Front Battlefields.
Recently purchased an easylifter Hydratrail trailer to transport the scoot.

I'd love a lhd for euro touring but wife not keen only wants to be away 2 weeks looked few times at German built ones .Still have a 1988 autosleeper but not been used for years hopefully next year as son is coming in with running costs and help with refurb.I brought a used Hydratail but not used it yet .16 years ago towed my 400 burgman to Vilanova south if Barcelona for my 50th family came out and rented chalets.Id love to do winter trip for a month in Spain Portugal with motorhome and scooter .

My problem is storage space one have is 5.25 M fits great 5..5 is about max .My son has altered his parking space could probably get 6 m on his space .Also he needs rear seat belt which mine doesn't have .
