Did anyone here ever buy one of those American " Driver's Backrest Riser Plate" gadgets?
I'd welcome a bit more knee room on my 400 K5, and could surely make one, a sketch or pattern would be much appreciated, unless someone has the actual real thing for sale?
Thanks.

Re: Driver's Backrest
I dimly recall some bloke who used the headrest from a Fiat Panda or somesuch, with a bend in the legs to insert it where the butt pad went.
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,

Re: Driver's Backrest
No idea on the 400, but a BMW 5 series headrest fits the B650 as a direct swap for the OEM bum-stop, bit of an eyesore visually but certainly provides great lower back support.

Re: Driver's Backrest
I had the riders backrest on my 650,purchased from motorcycle larry in the states, very comfortable and they did one for the 400 as well,i am pretty sure the original motorcycle larry is brown bread now,the website is still live I believe but obviously what the original guy specialised in has changed, google for pictures or search YouTube for ideas,so you can try and make one…..Burgman usa(busa) may give you some ideas as well
Might give you some ideas
