Those are impressive wear rates Capitano, my error in thinking that the smaller the engine the longer tyres would last!

Pity the Scootsmart advertise themselves as good for "touring". Maybe out and return to the local Starbucks is their idea of "touring". The POS certainly made my trip an adventure.

I had a Scootsmart Radial on my mk3 Tmax and I found it fine - I found it indistinguisable from a Michelin Pilot Rd 4

It's probably my fault, having spent an impressionable age running MZs with East German Pneumant tyres on.

There was definitely a "knack," to getting the best out of a set of Pneumants!

Were the Pneumats on a par with push bike tyres for longevity? I'll guess that they weren't exactly the stickiest tyre around as well?

Greased teflon with added black ice and a side order of politicians slime. The first pair of tyres I binned after 600 miles. Makes the Brazilian "Continentals" Honda OE use look good. Great for learning skid control though, no need to go out in the rain.

My current choice is their old competitor though. Heidenau K66's. I've used the K60 for years and it's way better than TCK's etc. for wear but still proper dual purpose. The K66's on the Super Cub were bought as the closest to an M&S I could get and are excellent. Now on 3000 miles the pair with 5mm to go. I will probably go the same route on the Forza.

They took some getting used to. Wear was minimal but if you did enough miles on them they used to square off even more so getting a free rear every 5k or so was a good idea.

They went off the edge quite predictably but frequently, and you just got used to the back end kicking out now and again, knowing it would grip ... eventually.

The fronts never wore out, never got worse nor better.

The Barums I had on a Jawa 350 were pretty much the same.

I could be wrong but I think that Heidenau incorporated Pneumant after the wall came down.

Old habits die hard. My C90 Cub has K36 Heidenaus. 8-)
