Fueling up am I missing something, very slow
Hi just came over to the dark side (scooter) can’t get my leg over bike anymore. Luv my 600i but wandered if I’m missing something, find it very slow to fuel up. Cheers Kev

I sympathize with you. My SYM is just the same. Unless the filler nozzle is held at exactly the right angle the pumps just continually cut out. This angle can only be found by trial and error at any given pump. My modern Honda is equally bad. It may be that the internal baffle is needed to prevent damage to the fuel level sensor or the pump inside the tank but it could also be regulations concerning spillage or miss-fuelling. My car has an internal valve in the filler neck which has to be opened by the specific shape of the nozzle.

I used to have a SYM 600i myself. That is assuming you mean the Maxsym. I used to have a similar problem with it, and all I can suggest is taking your time. Just putting the fuel in bit by bit, stopping if it looks like it's going to overflow.
Good luck if you need parts by the way. Unless the situation has changed since I had mine you have no chance with the importers. All you will get is excuses and 'It will be there on Tuesday.' It won't be. I needed a rear mudguard for mine after a rear end shunt, and I ended up having to get one off ebay.
