Honda Forza 350

I wasn't kind to Honda about the mirrors on the customer satisfaction survey they sent me.

I fitted a blind spot mirror on day 2 of ownership. It changes it from lethal to simply $#1t. Yes you can see what's behind rather than in shop windows beyond the other carriageway, but it's small, it distorts and you have to learn to focus on it not the mirror it's mounted to.

If I can find a way to remove the fairing mounted things I'm likely to fit motorcycle type mirrors to the bars.

The mirrors like many Forza 350 owners is my only gripe about the scooter,otherwise its a great little machine,i have little round blind spot mirrors,which does makeit much better,but still not perfect,

I took the Forza for its annual service Blades in Stratford Upon Avon,I managed to find the two dearest biker stops in the UK,the Piston Club on the A46 just outside Stratford,full monty breakfast for £12 not bad,didn’t include tea which was £2.95,a tea bag and some hot water

On the way out of Stratford i stopped at Caffeine & Machine on the A422 nice setting,loads of seats and outdoor caterering facilities plenty of flash cars in the car park but £3.50 for a half pint of lemonade

They have a certain appeal, that's for sure.
My immediate thought is how vulnerable they'd be to theft. I guess it would be possible to remove the TV bit as one removes a GPS when leaving the bike unattended.

I think I will get the same blind spot mirrors I have on the car. They are flat mirrors on little stalks so are adjustable for the best view. I have been happy enough with them on the car.

Stephen - I got my Forza from Blade in Stratford-on-Avon. Big place with plenty of bikes to choose from. I will however go to my local dealer for servicing and any repairs. Stratford-on-Avon is too far for me.

I have looked at these - Summit SM1? The Forza mirror front shell only has a short lip for the clip to bite on. Will it work I wonder?

The mirrors I have on the car are self-adhesive and stick to the glass. Thinking about it I may not bother as I do the 'Lifesaver' look over my shoulder before turning and changing lanes anyway.

The OE mirrors are excellent for seeing what's overtaking you. The conventional blindspot by your elbow isn't there. The actual blindspot starts at the back light and extends for about 2 miles. You'd need Linda Blair as pillion to cover it by lifesaver looks.

The OE mirrors offer a very limited field of view - elbows and not much behind or to the side. I have added small round adjustable wide angle mirrors from A....on which stick directly onto the mirror glass. As someone else observed, you can see lots more behind and to the side, albeit in miniature so you know something is there but not necessarily what exactly! On a run through the Durham Dales today I could see whether my son was still behind me without contorting my neck to check behind. His headlight made him easy to pick out. I needn't have worried, his bike is 3 times the capacity but hey, Forzas are surprisingly capable aren't they?

Cheeky question: Anyone got a hooky/free copy of the Forza 350 workshop manual?

I can work out how to do the stuff I need to do during my Forza ownership (oil change, new plug etc) with YouBoob as back-up, so too tight to buy a manual, but it's nicer to work from the book, just to dot teas and cross eyes.

Just put a set of these on my Forza 350,both Roger & Mottza have a set on their ADV’s,not had the chance to road test them yet,they just touch the screen on full lock,when its in the lower position,i can get to and use all the buttons,i had them on my ADV 750 and they worked well,once road tested i’ll report back,also IF i can remember how to i’ll post some pictures
