Yes I did call them straight away on my mobile as so bad, apparently a car was badly damaged in it a few weeks before my close call, according to the local garage, so I`m pretty sure they will of told them ( possibly been claiming ) as well.

I did see it was still the same a week later but not been past since. Though they have been out doing some of them and that stretch is about to be naff surface dressed.

Our roads are heading along to 3rd world type status sadly, and the UK is still one of the richest countries in the world !!!

Best mark.

I thought I would bump an old thread rather than start a new one.
So the concensus is engine mounted in the frame for country roads?
So that's tmax, bmw c650 and honda x adv/forza750only?

In general yes, as most of the mid sized traditionally engineered scoots are really designed for urban use and can be awful on bad roads. BUT the new breed of 'Adventure' scoots maybe changing that, with longer travel suspension and much better forks and shock absorbers making up for the basic general design. I've just bought a Honda ADV350 and the suspension is extremely impressive in the way it handles really bumpy roads - its firm but the ride is very well controlled, better in some ways than the Tmax. I've seen vids of some of the Adventure scoots being ridden off road on trails that look like Motocross tracks seemingly successfully (not that I'd try it with my own scoot!).
In theory, the Burgman 650 and Silverwing had frame mounted engines like the Tmax, but the suspension on those was not very good - the Burgman was very poor on country lanes.

There are other Adventure scoots to consider as well eg Peugeot XP400, Zontes 368, probably many others! Though Yamaha don't seem to have joined in this trend yet.
