Evening all
Hi Folks, Looking at downsizing (weight-wise) from an NC750 and like the look of the ADV350, especially the wider ‘proper’ bars. Not sure if I can justify the cost though as they’re a bit on the new side, so looking also at slightly older scooters like the J300. I’m a bit on the tall side at 6’2 So thought I’d sign up and peruse the archives for details and recommendations for the lankier rider

Welcome to the MM forum.
Whatever scooter you're thinking of, it's odds on that someone on here has owned one or at least ridden one.
For my money (and it is a purely personal view) the newer shape Forza 300 is a good bet for taller riders on a budget.
The one between the "big PCX" shape and the newer 350. £3k-£3.5k should bag a good one from a dealer.

Re: Evening all
When I was looking at the ADV I noticed that you can easily pick up a clean used one for an average of £4,500 although I never actually saw one in person to say just how clean they were.
Re the Forza, I had a couple of the 300's and really rated them. I only sold them as I had drifted back to regular motorcycles at the time. The electric screen was brilliant.
As for the J300, well mine will be delivered on Thursday and I only had a fairly short test ride on it a couple of weeks ago so haven't formed an opinion yet. Safe to say, it's a bit old fashioned compared to the Forza but I liked it, and it was fairly cheap. I like the fact that it's really a Kymco and should be as reliable as the Honda although it might be a bit cramped for a six footer. It fitted me well and I'm 5'8.
