Afternoon from Ceredigion Wales

Post by Graham »

Hi all first post.
I ride a Sym Joyride evo 200i with 38000k on the clock.
Never seen them before till I went into Bikerdean in coleford to get my son a crash helmet for his birthday and first scooter I bought on impulse. It's a old school type shop couldn't see down the sides of it that well and a 2010 model. Asked the shop owner how much with no warranty given or implied. He pushed it outside started it and we struck a deal. 10 minutes later son came back with helmet and was surprised to see me loading up a bike in the van for the 100 mile trip back home.
I had no problems with it other than putting a decent new exhaust on I picked up cheap and just recently diff is humming but I may do that I may just ride it into the ground. My 9 year old granddaughter loves going on the back of it.

Hello Graham,
I'm also new to this forum so hello from me.
My bike is getting registered on 1st September, Zontes ZT368G

This forum seems slow, not very well used, I've only had one greeting on my post, so let's see how it goes.

Mick.

Sym seems be well regarded by their owners on here, and there have been quite a few posts on the Zontes model mentioned. It has been quiet lately on this forum, but it is a mine of information, mainly from people much more knowledgeable than me.
Hello and welcome (both) to the forum. :)

Never knew they had groups on WhatsApp but there again I am not a big user of the internet and associated apps.

Oh yeah, Syms are good. The build quality is up there with the Japanese and they are certainly reliable. One problem though. You can't get parts for them for love or money. The importers don't want to know.
