On a personal note, and being more used to working on older bikes, I hate dome headed allen bolts anywhere near the rear wheel as they eventually rust and then round out. The larger ones in your kit aren't so bad but those little ones are a real pain.
Good point

I did think of putting a bit of copper grease on the threads for the same reason, might do so on hindsight

Neat bit of kit 👍

I always bin the fasteners that come with parts like this. You can't blame them for using Chinese tat, no one will pay more for decent bolts, but they really do find some amazing materials. Who knew cheese-toffee could be made that'll turn to rust when someone in the pub down the road opens a packet of crisps.

After 2 1/2 years I'll bow out of this thread. Dobles took my 350 away at lunchtime.

It's a great scooter. Everything you could ever need and totally reliable. I've toured in Europe, hammered it on Sunday blatts etc. It's a bike that I decided to move on rather than one that had to go (Moto Guzzi are you listening?).

Two things made me switch. The 350 is being absolutely hammered if you need to go places on a motorway. Fine if you have time to sit behind a truck (with the speedo showing 70 🙄 ) but very high RPM and nothing left in reserve if you want the GPS to show 75. That's the other thing, the connectivity whets your appetite but doesn't really deliver. Never really cured the utter $#1£♧€€$ of the mirrors either, but got used to it.

There is now a 750 in the garage. This is what you want rather than what you need. There are definite downsides mind, luggage space being the biggie. I'll live with the chain as better than an undersized overheating belt, but the unicorn scooter wouldn't.

See you in other threads.

Andy
