The comfort is the reason I want one (or did). I have had two before so I know how comfortable they are.

Re: Parts for Italian Hondas.
I have ordered a drive belt and rollers, again from my dealer. Will I have the same problem? I sincerely hope not as they are service items.
By the way, the gasket still hasn't arrived. Surprise surprise. But my dealer has managed to get hold of a pattern one, which they will fit at the same time the belt and rollers arrive. If they do...

Still no drive belt and rollers. But I have found some on Ebay. I will give the importers/manufacturers another week then it's Ebay time.
This is nothing short of disgusting. Honda, the world's biggest manufacturer (albeit their Italian arm) and you can't get parts. If one of the car manufacturers (especially one of the big players like Ford) did this there would be a right uproar. It would be all over the papers, TV news reports. Everything. I suppose that because the powered 2-wheeler market in this country is so tiny the manufacturers and importers don't give a flying F. The old thing about 'look after your customers and they will come back' doesn't apply. They know people won't be back, or are highly unlikely to. They will get a car instead.
As you can probably tell I'm fuming!

Oh yes. I got shot of my SYM 6 years ago because parts are unobtainable. Only to find the situation appears to be much the same with Honda.
I am fuming so much now I think I'm going to blow a fuse!

I don't disagree with your findings but don't suppose its any different in the car trade. Companies like KIA and Honda do not keep stock of any parts other than service items which are effectively guaranteed turn over to maintain warrantee Ts and Cs. Any other components can take six months or more to bring to the UK and are practically unobtainable for any vehicle more than ten years old.
This could be fixed if spares stocks were globalised much as most other goods are. i.e. If a vehicle is manufactured ( say ) in Japan the public and the moto trade should be able to buy direct from that country without any hindrance from local sub-divisions and commercial interests trying to prevent it. We can get Chinese goods from Ali Express in two weeks so why not spares from major manufacturers?
Disfunctional local distributors should be confined to history in the modern era.
