The French Aixam micro car is allowed, but its slow and expensive

I think you'll find that the same rules apply for the reliant, aixam and microcar. They all require a B1, which as you say stopped being included after 99.

Sorry for wrong info, don't know why but I assumed (dangerous I know!) that the extra wheel would have enabled the novice bike rider to carry on as was, with the likes of Microcar and Aixam.

At least we ALL know now!! They're still slow, expensive - and noisy though ;)
