The Leo was a fun bike - they used to have very reliable Yamaha Maj bits in, but swapped to Piaggio engines at the takeover.
It used to handle superbly and the load area was big. Only downside was that it was terrifying in crosswinds.

Never had that terrifying side wind issue on my leo.

The later Leo 300's were not Piaggio engined, but actually a Minarelli 264cc.

You're right about the handling with Leo. I liken the Leo to a old mini, whereas the X9 is like a sierra.

All sorted. Got meself a Vespa GTS250ie, 10k miles, FSH... it'll do for the summer, then I'll move it on...

Gonna be better MPG than my 1.8 SE Audi!!

The 250 has the best dash, and seems to have the best following.
Honda NC750 Manual
VESPA GTS250
Royal Enfield HNTR 350
