This month has reviews of the BMW 600/650, the Aprilia SRV850 and the nice looking Kymco Downtown 125i.

They really seem to like the Aprilia. In fact they rave about the handling...

"Effortlessly changes direction, with lightning speed. It can hold a very tight line, even while hitting broken tarmac, mid corner"
"The suspension is superb"

This contrasts with MCN's review........

" But it does not, as Aprilia claims, handle like a sports bike. At least not one made during the last quarter-century.

"The handling is vague". The front wheel feels far away, which it is. The suspension seems under-damped. I’m under 12stone and when I sat on the bike the handlebars descended by a good 40mm before rebounding by a couple.

Ride review the SRV this month. Rather a incoherent review. Generally quite negative handling wise, though describes it as 'fun' and 'agile' but 'not sporty, more like a big trailie' ! God knows what that means.
The UK bike press are only now beginning to realise that not all scoots are arranged like a 50s Vespa with the engine on the swing-arm......
