Don't do that, say what you think if it's helpful, it might help others at a later date.

Yah I fixed it, because I had left the handle bars off when buggering around with the steering bearings the throttle cable had got trapped, so a little bit of fiddling with the cables freed it and got it back down to what it should be and the throttle rolls just fine now without any issues and engine braking is all normal... this was sorted all before MOT like 3 weeks ago?
Out of interest I asked the MOT guy if it would have mattered and his response was 'Nah mate, it doesn't even need an engine in it to pass' then he failed it on fork seals... so I had to take it all apart again to do the seals this time being careful of the throttle cables.

Thought so - however, to be extremely pedantic, on most modern scoots with always on headlights, wouldn't you need the engine to be running to make the headlights work fully??

You can turn on the ignition to do that.

Not necessarily...I think that newer scoots turn a sidelight on with the ignition, but that the headlight only comes on when the engine starts - my baby Burger is definitely like that.

And the TMAX mk3 and also the newer 300cc Piaggio also have this "engine running" relay which energises the major consumers such as the headlamp.
