I to agree on binning the Avon. I had one and the front of my bike just felt so wrong. Felt like
it was barely gripping and keeping the bike straight was a task (especially with southwest wind)!

Was doing 65mph one day and the front wheel actually started moving from side to side rapidly  !!!
So an Avon has tried to kill me too....

..and my Avon tried to subtly kill me by trying to self destruct - fortunately I was on the way back to dealers to get rid of the wretched things and I got there before the split became terminal!

Well here it is finally back together.New disc, pads, clutch, drive belt, spark plug, wheel bearings and seals,
oil and filter, gear box oil, overhaul front and rear calipers, respray front and rear wheels forks and exhaust,
frame treated with vulcan then a liberal coating 50/50 mix of waxoil and acf50 on everything[except the
brakes] and finally a great big tin of elbow grease.I'll keep the Avons on for now as I'm not sure if I'm
keeping it but if I do I'll change them for Diablo's before the summer end's.Just as a matter of interest
what do you think it's worth.
