Buxton is a great place and has some great roads in the area. Thats why we're going this weekend. Bikers come from miles around to visit the Cat n Fiddle pub and the twisty roads heading back towards Macclesfield. Or a quick blast down the A6 to Bakewell and Chatsworth House.
Thanks for the pics of Glasson Dock. It looks shit so I'll remember not to go there

I have been over The Cat and Fiddle a few times on motorbikes, and i think twice on a Scooter. And i visited Bakewell. I would agree some great roads to ride.My question was "what is at Buxton". As for Glasson" looking like shit" everyone is entitled to thier opinion, but as you say you live in the "crap bit of lovely Derbyshire". Maybe your just hard to please. Meldrew you understand the need for bladder relief, most of the time i ride alone, only by invitation have i joined the Muppets, if they stop inviting, i will stop going. You know i'm retired Meldrew, so riding is my only pastime.

I was joking Sylar, don't take offence! I've never been to the place
But I do think you know "what is at Buxton".
It's the meet that I mentioned and that GerardC invited you to.
And as for me being hard to please, no not at all. South Normanton IS the crap bit of lovely Derbyshire.
Where I live came 2nd in a vote for the worst High Street in England. Granted that was a few years ago and it has improved slightly

New Toilet technology always takes time to master. I remember my old Mum buying a new bog brush. My Dad couldn't handle it and went back to using paper after a couple of goes. The Dyson works well but high speed can cause excessive "flapping" so you Guys be carefully out there.

I just thought I'd have a look to see how the Whitby run was going .....and come across tips on drying your manhoodMeldrew wrote:The youngsters don't realise we need a bit more time in the post-pee droplets shake. To stop the others riding off and leaving you mid shake, a crafty dangle in one of those new Dyson Airblade hand driers speeds up the job considerably and is quite pleasant, just ignore the funny looks from the other toilet users.Sylar wrote: Meldrew you understand the need for bladder relief,

OK time to get organised! I have sent as many PM's as I can to members who I am guessing live in a reasonable distance for the trip. If your browsing and want to know more then let me know ASAP so I can suggest meeting points. I am hoping the Guys from the North East will come. Those from North Lincs could come over the Humber Bridge. Theres no set meeting points or routes as yet.
