Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Mine is now complicated by the effects of tendonitis and rheumatoid arthritis. Currently off work, again, waiting for yet more physio.

Carpel tunnel, open it up full blast for a great sound effect as you drive through..is it in Wales ?
I had a steroid jab ( 3rd so far in 8 months )today in my right shoulder, the one I landed on when I dumped my FZ1, going for an op on it June 22 for keyhole surgery to remove shrapnel bone bits.
I went to our local Honda dealer last week to look at the crosstourer 1200 DCT with the thought of a test ride, they didnt have the integra or ANY dct in, but could if I gave them 3 days notice, he did however try to sell my a nice 56 plate DC01 for £5400 1 local elderly owner from hambleton...anyone here ?

I like the look of the integra, but I also like POWER !!!!!!!!!!

As i said in my intro to the ugly scoot you will need to find a dealer who let you have the bike for a good 2 hours, it IS that different to ride.
I mean, it rides like a bike but the motor and the feeling you get from it is Well! ODD, like a 3 cyclinder with a miss fire, and the very low revs
it is running happily in 6th gear at 42 MPH, nd it will only change down for a big hill or if you wind the throtle open hard, good thing is you can
change down with the buttons even when in auto mode...When i bought it no fuel in it, well the light was flashing then i found out it had 2.9lts
left when the last bar flashes. Anyway i put fuel in it upto the fill level plate in the filler neck, i did 164miles as it dropped to the last two bars,
as i was passing a garage i stopped to fill up...9.09lts £12.63p not bad for a new engine, should get better,,,,

What I think Honda ought to have done instead of the Integra is to make a touring version of the NC700 - sort of NC700T. Basically take the 700X, add on the Integra's decent front fairing, leave the general stye as a bike (with the large helmet storage compartment), add heated grips and some luggage, include DCT, then you suddenly have a remarkably sensible looking commuter / light tourer, with lots of storage, comfort, and good fuel economy - and a ready made replacement for the Deauville. OK you're still stuck with chain drive, but you can't have everything.
The 700X is OK, but with only a partial fairing, I'm sure I'd freeze in the winter on it.

What they also ought to have done is made a proper scooter.....

I was thinking just that the other day, i did'nt say so on here cos some one would have said i was being negative or sumut

Think i may write to Honda and tell them to start looking at the Scoot sites on the net, they may pick up on a few things...

So that's it then. Honda have a lot of excellent engine/drivetrains, but haven't yet managed to offer them in the correct vehicle?

Honda have already built the replacement for the Deauville, it's called the Silverwing.

If they were that dead set on making something innovative, then they'd have done something about the aerodynamics. Could probably halve the fuel consumption with something along these lines



or the modern iteration



THAT'S the kind of thinking that would mate with what is a remarkable sane real-world engine concept. Except for the chain drive. 160mpg and not entirely coincidentally, probably around 130mph.And storage. And weather protection.

Now add total sanity with the SH300 motor and you could be looking at scooter nirvana -
Easy 100+mph. Even easier 200+mpg. Cheap as chips servicing... well. except for that last bit. It is a Honda after all...
