Wait a minute, are you saying that the Downtown has a 6000 mile service interval?
I thought it was much less than that.
You wouldn't happen to know if the valve clearance adjusters are screw and locknut or shims?

6000 miles, or 6 months which ever comes first.
Which basically means 6 months, or about 1000 miles for me.
But, if you think about it, that really only applies during the warenty period if you're going to keep it anyway.
However, at sixty quid a service, they will probably have my money for a while, as they valet it too, and the bits would cost me at least twenty quid at a guess.
Don't know about the valves, but if they're adjustable it's not much of a job, and if they're shims they won't need doign anyway for ages.

Re: Downtown .v. X10 (From MCN Tossers)
I am pretty sure the interval is every 6000 kms, parts, oils are reasonably priced the only expensive part is the Belt (needs changing every 20,000 km) average 150 Euros (original). I found a compatible Malossi for 77 Euros + delivery from France.
I really trust the brand Kymco are rock solid, had an Agility City 125 for 3 years and never let me down, The Downtown has been with me for 13 months and it feels as good as the first day.

My god , you're right. I just got the service record out to check and it is Km. My mistake.
Same difference for me though.
Anyway - another DT300 owner - wehey!
You're the first I've ever met. I was beginning to think that I was a figment of my own imagination.
