Frank Thomas jacket and Ixon pants , RST race gloves, if im going on a nice run I wear my RST Boots, or full leather bike boots, if not just some hiking boots, I sometimes wear steel toe caps, even though they arnt supposed to be worn on bikes cos if you come off your foot can bend back and the toe cap will chop your toes off !
Same stuff I wear when Im riding a 1000c Motorbike, shouldnt make a difference if its a scooter or bike, its protection.

Re: scooter clothing
Since I've never been a 'biker' as such I've never considered one-piece leathers but if they're your 'thing' wear them!
I've found my leather jacket* very comfortable in all but the coldest weather (with waterproofs over the top when necessary) and been looking at leather chaps to wear over ordinary jeans.
Not sure if I can stand the initial piss-taking although I shouldn't let it bother me.

Re: scooter clothing
I've just a bought a Frank Thomson fabric jacket with the armour in the elbows, shoulders and back, but only becasue I got it dirt cheap, and I have to say, far too hot even without the liner in it. Normally I just wear a waterproof that I bought from some camping shop or other, jeans and stout shoes, (or even trainers if they grip well, which my current ones dont' as I bought them from Asda). I do have a pair of paddock boots that I wear, from time to time, if I'm going any distance, but otherwise nothing special. I have a couple of pairs of good leather gloves with armoured knuckles, and three helmets that I wear depending on the weather, an open face scooter helmet which I bought off t'internet, a Grex flip front, and a Box full face, all of which were pretty cheap.

Re: scooter clothing
My kit sounds similar to Mottza.
I have a Frank Thomas textile jacket and trousers, with removable inserts. Loads of vents in them, so on hot days it is not too bad.
I have a pair of summer gloves and 2 pairs of wet/winter gloves.
When I am not going to wear a suit in the office and it isn't raining, I'll wear a pair of Australian Biker Gear kevlar lined jeans plus the FT jacket.
Always wear my biker boots too.
My philosophy is that road rash still hurts even when the weather's warm.

Re: scooter clothing
I normally wear a bike textile armoured jacket, and (armoured) Kevlar lined jeans (Hood or Draggin), decent footwear and bike gloves. I don't think leathers are that practical, especially off the bike, but in the summer I sometimes wear a leather jacket, but never leather jeans, as I presume they will be far too hot to walk in

Must admit I didn't list everything I own, haven't got that long, just a selection to show what I believe to be a suitable level of protection.Meldrew wrote:Exactly!poldark wrote:but I've still got nothing to wear ........Meldrew wrote:I've got textile suits from Aerostich, Büse, Clover, Hein Gericke, and REV'IT!, Arai, and Schuberth* open face helmets, Nolan, and Scorpion flip fronts and the *marked are fitted with the Interphone F4, and a Super-Visor.
